Here are my favourite German tanks, the StuG III and StuH 42. Click on the images for a closer look.
The Stug III was Germany’s most numerous tank produced during WW2. It was built on the chassis of the Panzer III. Initially intended as an armoured light gun for infantry support, the StuG was widely used as a tank destroyer. Approximately 10,001 StuG IIIs of various types were produced from 1940 to 1945.
StuH 42 were designed to provide infantry support and used a 105mm howitzer as its main gun. 1,299 StuH 42 were produced from March 1943 to 1945.
Both of these models are from Die Waffenkammer.
